A party of 6 people rafting on the Elk River became separated when their rafts were damaged by log jams. Swift Water Rescue and Ground SAR members from Sparwood, Elkford and Fernie responded, shortly thereafter the 3 missing people returned to their vehicles after swimming out of the river and obtaining a ride from a local resident.
