Sparwood SAR was requested by Cranbrook SAR to assist in the search for a missing 78 year old man who had gone hiking in the Fort Steele area. Sparwood SAR members were paged to muster at the hall for 5:30am the next morning, but fortunately the man was found alive and well that evening and the team was stood down.
